North Korea tests new anti-aircraft missile system

KABUL: North Korea has tested its latest anti-aircraft missile system in the presence of Kim Jong Un, the country’s leader.

The Associated Press, quoting North Korean state media, reported today that officials from the officials of North Korea have described the new missile system as highly reliable and useful in combat.

It was noted that Kim Jong Un has referred to the tested missile system as important armament for the nation and has praised the research team responsible for its design.

The North Korean military has stated that this test was conducted in response to joint military exercises by South Korea and the United States.

This comes as the South Korean and U.S. militaries concluded an 11-day joint military exercise, which has been described as the first such drill since Donald Trump’s inauguration.
