Clean drinking water provided to hundreds of families in Kunduz, ministry

KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, in a statement told Radio Omid today that a water supply network worth $164,000 has been constructed in Kunduz province.
According to the Ministry, the water supply network was built in Zeenu village of Dasht-e-Archi district of Kunduz province with the financial support of the DACAAR organization.
The project included the drilling of a 150-meter deep well, the construction of a 50-cubic-meter elevated concrete reservoir, the installation of 175 water taps, 63 solar panels, and 10,000 meters of piping.
With the completion of the project, 369 families now have access to clean drinking water and dozens of others provided with job opportunities.
