KABUL: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with Mirdef Al-Qashouti, the Chargé d’Affaires of Qatar to Kabul, the Deputy spokesman of the ministry, Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, said in a statement on his X account late on today.
During the meeting, discussions were held on bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Qatar, recent developments with the United States, and various other issues.
The acting Foreign Minister emphasized the significance of recent progress with the United States and expressed gratitude to the Qatari government for its facilitation and cooperation.
The Qatari Chargé d’Affaires positively assessed the diplomatic progress made by the Islamic Emirate and reaffirmed their commitment to cooperation with Kabul.
Recently, the United States announced the revocation of rewards placed on three leaders of the Afghan government.
