Construction work on 169 projects worth 236 million Afghanis launched in Paktia

KABUL: The construction work on 169 development projects, with a total cost of 236 million Afghanis, has been kicked off by Mullah Mohammad Yunus Akhund, the acting Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, in Paktia province.
The ministry, in a statement, told Radio Omid on Sunday that the projects included the construction of rural roads, bridges, retaining walls, and agricultural water channels, which will be implemented in the Zurmat district of Paktia province.
During the inauguration of the projects, the acting Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development emphasized that his-led ministry is committed to the principle of balanced development and is working to implement development projects throughout the country, especially in remote areas.
With the initiation of the projects, people’s problems will be addressed, and job opportunities will also be provided for dozens of people.
Efforts are underway by both Emirati and non-Emirati agencies to provide facilities for people across the country.
