KABUL: The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation said in a statement today that the construction work on the Kandahar-Kabul and Kandahar-Herat transportation terminals, worth 352 million Afghanis, has been kicked off.
The foundation stone of the terminals was laid down during a ceremony that was attended by the IEA officials, mujahidin and local residents.
According to the statement, the terminals will be built on 142 and 100 jeribs of land in the Daman district and the eighth district of Kandahar city.
The development of these terminals is considered essential infrastructure for the country.
Two days ago, the construction of the Arghandi transport terminal in Kabul was also initiated by the private sector, with an investment of approximately 1.3 billion Afghanis.
