KABUL: The acting Minister of Public Health of the Islamic, Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali, in a meeting with the Qatar Chargé d’affaires to Afghanistan, Mirdef Al-Qashouti, discussed the provision of medical equipment for the country’s hospitals.
According to a statement the ministry on Tuesday, in the meeting, the construction of a 400-bed hospital by Qatar in Kandahar province and improving the capacity of health workers have also been discussed.
Al-Qashouti assured that his country is committed to continuing its cooperation with Afghanistan in various fields, particularly in the health sector.
Appreciating the Qatari continued cooperation with Afghanistan, Mawlavi Jalali emphasized the importance of improving the capacity of health workers and equipping hospitals to a standard level for better addressing patients’ problems and providing health services for the people.
