KABUL: As a result of two traffic accidents on the Kabul-Kandahar highway two people were martyred and eight others were wounded, Maidan Wardak’s governor press office said on Tuesday.
“The incidents occurred in the Lora and Dasht-e-Top areas of the highway, when a Mazda cargo truck and a speeding vehicle, collided, leading to the deaths of two individuals and injuries to three others. The second incident occurred when a Fielder-type vehicle veered off the road and overturned, resulting in the injuries of five passengers,” said the statement.
High speed and driver carelessness are called the main causes behind traffic accidents in the country.
