UNHCR inaugurated school building in Faryab

KABUL: The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said in a statement today that a 13-classroom school building was inaugurated in Faryab province.

The school is located in one of the remote districts of Faryab in northern Afghanistan, said the statement, adding that with this school a safe educational environment for 600 students has been provided.

The facility is also equipped with solar energy.

According to UNHCR, previously, students of this school were learning under tents and in open spaces.

Details about the cost of building the school were not disclosed.
