KABUL: The Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee of the Economic Commission has been held at Marmarin Palace, approving a proposal for the construction of a commercial market worth 96 million Afghani in Sar-e-Pul province.
According to a statement from the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs office on Wednesday, the five-story commercial market will be built on the municipality’s land by the private sector, and the market will have 341 shops along with underground parking.
The Committee also reviewed proposals submitted by the private sector regarding automobile manufacturing in Kabul Industrial Park, a strategic framework for the country’s economic development, and the construction of a commercial market at the Islam Qala border crossing, the statement added.
In the meeting, the relevant committees have been instructed to conduct comprehensive evaluations of these proposals, engage in technical discussions with the proposing companies, and submit their reports to the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee by the specified deadlines.
