KABUL: Zalmay Khalilzad, a political figure of the Republican Party in the U.S., has advised the Iranian government not to gamble on a war with Washington.
Khalilzad made the remarks today his on X account, in response to the Iranian government’s unveiling of a new underground missile city.
Regarding the purpose of this unveiling, he stated: “The clear aim is to convince Trump that a war with Iran would be perilous, as Iran has the capability to survive an initial attack and still target both near and distant goals.”
Khalilzad questioned whether Iranian commanders and war leaders would be safe during a conflict with the U.S. to have the opportunity to lead and deploy weapons.
He noted that American planners are currently discussing such scenarios.
It is important to mention that recently, tensions between the U.S. government and Iran have escalated to unprecedented levels.
