KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump, along with the head of his administration’s effectiveness agency, Elon Musk, has placed tens of thousands of healthcare workers on leave as part of a program aimed at reducing government spending and saving the budget.
Reports indicate that these individuals were dismissed during the implementation of the “cost-cutting program.”
According to Reuters, these workers were part of key agencies under the Department of Health and Human Services.
Previously, Donald Trump had described the Department of Education as corrupt and had delayed its operations.
It is also reported that he may consider laying off thousands of personnel from the Department of Defense this time.
