KABUL: The Acting Minister of Refugees and Repatriations, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, has met with Reza Bahrami, advisor to the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
The ministry states that in the meeting, discussions were held regarding the relations between both countries, the situation of Afghan refugees in Iran, and their voluntary return to their home country.
Reza Bahrami requested Mawlavi Abdul Kabir to visit Iran with a proposal for the repatriation of Afghan refugees.
He also noted that currently, around eight million Afghans live in Iran, of which four million do not have legal residency documents or their residency has expired.
