MAZAR-E-SHARIF: The Balkh Police Command said in a statement on Sunday that three individuals have been arrested on charges of mines making in the province.
According to the statement, the individuals were detained after one of them was injured while manufacturing a mine inside a residential home in the Marmal district of Balkh province, which subsequently exploded.
“The individuals have been arrested, along with 13 kilograms of explosives, one firearm, and 28 rounds of ammunition,” said the statement.
The development comes as efforts continue to enhance security throughout the country.
