Meeting led by Prime Minister: International organizations urged to fulfill responsibilities for Afghan refugees

KABUL: Chaired by Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, a meeting was held about the forcible expulsion of Afghan migrants, Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate said.
The meeting was attended by a number of cabinet members, including the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Acting Minister of Refugees and Repatriations Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, and other cabinet members.
During the meeting, officials condemned the inhumane and un-Islamic treatment of Afghan refugees, describing the forced expulsion of Afghans as contrary to all principles.
They also called on the people, political parties, scholars, and influential figures of Pakistan to take steps based on Islamic values and the principles of neighborliness in this matter.
For a long time, the people of Afghanistan and Pakistan have shared ties, and these cultural and religious connections should be preserved.
The meeting called on the United Nations and international organizations to fulfill their responsibilities regarding this humanitarian crisis.
Also, the High Commission for Addressing Refugee Issues has been assigned to utilize existing resources and ensure comprehensive support for returning Afghan refugees.
