KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has completed 64 alternative projects in eight provinces of the country over the past two years.
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs said that the projects worth 97 million Afghanis included agricultural canals, water reservoirs, embankments, retaining walls, and other initiatives.
The aim of the alternative projects is to provide clean drinking water, irrigate agricultural land, and protect homes and farmland from floods, said the source.
It is noteworthy that the projects were completed with the financial support of the Islamic Emirate.
