HERAT: All three turbines at the Salma Dam in Herat province are fully operational and connected to the electricity grid, officials confirmed.
The spokesperson for the Herat governor, Mufti Mohammad Yusuf Saeedi, stated that the total electricity generation capacity of the Salma Dam is currently 34 megawatts, which helps meet the energy needs of Herat province.
He emphasized that the improvement in the dam’s electricity production is due to effective cooperation from local authorities, and these efforts will continue.
