China raises tariffs on U.S. imports to 125%

KABUL: China’s State Council Tariff Commission has increased its retaliatory tariffs on U.S. imports from 84% to 125%.

According to Reuters, economic experts suggest that this move could escalate the trade war and pose a threat to China’s global supply chain stability.

China’s action comes at a time when U.S. President Donald Trump has raised tariffs on Chinese goods to 154%.
