KABUL: The Acting Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhund, during a ceremony kicked off the construction work on 161 development projects worth 295 million Afghanis in Laghman province, the ministry said in a statement today.
According to the statement, the projects include the construction of rural roads, bridges, retaining walls, and water canals, which will be implemented in the Alingar district of Laghman province.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mullah Younus Akhundzada emphasized the importance of community involvement in the protection and maintenance of the projects.
The implementation of the projects will provide job opportunities for dozens of individuals, and upon completion, it will also address environmental challenges faced by residents of the Alingar district.
