KABUL: A number of Afghan investors residing abroad, in a meeting with Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, the acting Minister of Refugees and Repatriations, said that they are ready to invest in mines, urban development, and electricity projects in the country.
According to a statement from the ministry on Tuesday, the meeting was attended by Dr. Abdul Bari Omari, the CEO of the Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS).
The investors asked the Islamic Emirate to simplify the visa issuance process for European citizens to encourage investors, the statement added.
Meanwhile, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir said: “The Islamic Emirate has no intention of hostility and is striving for the growth and progress of Afghanistan, so its people can live in a peaceful environment.”
The Acting Minister of Refugee Affairs, calling the proposals important, said that the Islamic Emirate gives priority to the advice and consultations of Afghans to advance its affairs.
