KABUL: As part of efforts to provide safe drinking water for citizens, the construction work on three water supply networks worth 24.8 million Afghanis has begun in Nangarhar province.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development on Wednesday, the welfare projects will be constructed in Batikot, Momandara, and Ghani Khel districts of Nangarhar province.
The statement did not specify the source of funding for the water supply networks.
Upon completion, the three networks will provide safe drinking water for 1,601 families in the mentioned districts.
The construction of seven water supply networks was conducted in Bamyan province by the ministry yesterday.
