KABUL: Mohammad Sadiq Khan, Pakistan’s special envoy for Afghanistan and head of the Joint Coordination Committee between Afghanistan and Pakistan has met with Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
During the meeting, Muttaqi discussed various issues between the two countries, particularly the forced expulsion of Afghans from Pakistan.
He emphasized that both countries should resolve their mutual issues through dialogue in a trusting atmosphere and avoid actions or statements that could provoke the sentiments of their people.
Sadiq Khan noted that the two neighboring countries share deep ties and should address the emerging challenges.
He also mentioned that in the near future, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, is expected to visit Kabul.
It is noteworthy that a delegation led by Mohammad Sadiq Khan arrived in Kabul yesterday.
