Kazakhstan’s deputy Prime Minister to visit Afghanistan soon

KABUL: A high-level delegation from Kazakhstan, led by Serik Jumangarin, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, is set to visit Afghanistan next week.

Kazinform, a Kazakh news agency, reported today that Jumangarin and his accompanying delegation will be in Kabul for a three-day from April 21 to 23.

The aim of the visit include meetings with officials of the Islamic Emirate and the inauguration of a Kazakhstan products exhibition in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, the delivery of 2,200 tons of humanitarian aid from Kazakhstan to Afghanistan is ongoing.

Ghaziz Akbasov, the Chargé d’Affaires of Kazakhstan in Afghanistan, recently handed over a new shipment of aid, which includes food items such as flour, rice, oil, wheat, winter and summer tents, and blankets, to Islamic Emirate officials.

Kazakhstan officials have stated that a shipment of medical supplies will soon be transported to Kabul by air.

Kazakhstan  has seen growing relations with Afghanistan over the past three years.
