KABUL: The Deputy Minister for Refugees and Repatriations, Shaikh Kaleem-ur-Rahman Fani, during his visit to Pakistan, met with the country’s Foreign Minister, the Prime Minister’s Advisor, and other senior officials.
The ministry said that Fani emphasized the need to prevent the harassment, detention, and forcible expulsion of Afghan refugees from Pakistan.
He called for the establishment of a joint coordination committee between the two countries to address the needs and challenges faced by Afghan refugees through a social mechanism.
The Pakistani Foreign Minister promised that, considering the current circumstances, a committee would be formed in collaboration with the Afghan embassy in Pakistan.
