Minister Muttaqi discusses Afghan refugees, bilateral cooperation with Pakistani counterpart

KABUL: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with his Pakistani counterpart, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and his accompanying delegation, here in Kabul.

According to Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, the deputy spokesman of the ministry, the two sides discussed various issues, including the situation of Afghan refugees in Pakistan, as well as political, economic, trade, transit issues, and large projects.

In the meeting, Muttaqi expressed deep concern about the status of Afghan refugees in Pakistan and emphasized the need to prevent the violation of the rights of both existing and incoming Afghans.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani Foreign Minister expressed pleasure about visiting Afghanistan and extended a formal invitation to Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi to strengthen the existing relations between the two countries.
