Economic Commission approves draft revenue policy for mining sector

KABUL: Presided over by the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the meeting of the Economic Commission was held today, approving a draft revenue policy for mining sector, his office said in a statement.
The proposal for the construction of a commercial market in Mazar-e-Sharif, the center of Balkh province, with an investment of 80 million Afghani, on was approved by the Economic Commission, said the statement.
The commercial market will be constructed in six floors, including a parking area, and will comprise 56 shops along with other necessary facilities, the statement said, adding that meeting also reviewed the proposed procedure for establishing liquefied gas facilities and discussed the development of appropriate solutions to prevent violations by cargo and postal companies.
The committees were assigned to conduct comprehensive evaluations of these issues, and it was recommended that they submit their reports to the Economic Commission by the specified deadlines, said the statement.
