Begdeli emphasis on artistic cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran

KABUL: The Iranian Ambassador to Kabul, Ali Reza Begdeli, has highlighted the importance of artistic cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran.

According to a statement from the Iranian embassy on Wednesday, he made the remarks during a visit to the National Gallery of Afghanistan, where he met with Mawlavi Mohammad Lal Monib, the director of the National Gallery.

The Iranian ambassador emphasized collaboration in the arts between Kabul and Tehran, calling the National Gallery of Afghanistan as a “treasure of visual arts”.

Iranian and Afghan officials have consistently described the two countries as sharing religious, historical, and cultural commonalities in their official meetings.

The National Gallery, also known as the National Gallery of Afghanistan, was established in 1983 and is located on Asemayi Road in Kabul.
