KABUL: An international conference titled “Afghanistan: Regional Connectivity, Security, and Development” has been hosted in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
The Trend news agency reported today that the international conference, organized by the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, with the participation of intelligence representatives from 20 countries.
Ali Nagiyev, head of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, stated that Baku has consistently supported global initiatives aimed at ensuring political stability and internal security in Afghanistan and has spared no effort in this regard.
He emphasized that the relationship between Kabul and Baku has a long history, founded on mutual trust and deep historical and cultural ties. Further details, including whether a representative from Afghanistan also participated in the conference, have not been released.
Azerbaijan has maintained good relations with Afghanistan over the past three years.
