New Delhi purchases 26 fighter jets from France

KABUL: India’s Ministry of Defense has announced the purchase of 26 Rafale fighter jets from France.
In a statement, the ministry indicated that the deal aims to strengthen India’s naval capabilities.
The delivery of these aircraft is expected to be completed by 2030, with pilots receiving training in both India and France.
This move reflects India’s efforts to modernize its military equipment and reduce reliance on Russia. New Delhi is acquiring these fighter jets amid strained relations with Islamabad.
