MAIDAN SHAHR: Construction work on 116 development projects valued at 203 million Afghanis, during a ceremony, has been kicked off by Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada, the acting Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, in Maidan Wardak province.
The Maidan Wardak governor’s press office said in a statement to Radio Omid, that practical work on the projects began during a ceremony in the Jaghatu district of Maidan Wardak.
The acting minister emphasized the importance of balanced development based on the needs of the people.
The projects included the construction of rural roads, bridges, retaining walls, and irrigation canals, upon completion issues faced by the residents of the people will be addressed.
The statement said nothing about the funding of the projects.
