KABUL: António Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, in a post on his X account stated today that the Israeli regime has deprived two million people in the Gaza Strip of vital assistance for two months.
He noted that the Israeli regime has prevented the entry of food, medicine, fuel, and commercial goods into Gaza for the past two months.
He emphasized that the Zionist regime must know that providing essential aid to the people of Gaza is non-negotiable and should not be used as a pressure tactic.
The Secretary-General called on the Israeli regime to protect civilians and agree to humanitarian assistance for the people in Gaza.
This statement comes amid reports from the World Food Programme about the depletion of its supplies in Gaza and the cessation of operations in kitchens that provide ready-to-eat meals to the population.
