Japan reaffirms commitment to cooperate with Afghans in food security

KABUL: Japan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Takayoshi Kurumiya, has emphasized the country’s commitment to cooperating with Afghan families in the area of food security.
In a statement from the World Food Program, Kurumiya expressed support for Afghans during a visit to a food security center in Kabul, reaffirming Japan’s dedication to continuing its assistance.
According to the statement, Japan has recently provided emergency food aid valued at $7 million, benefiting 30,000 families, along with support for 30,000 school students and medical assistance for 60,000 women and children involved in food security efforts.
