KABUL: Construction work on a check dam valued at 9,105,473 Afghani has begun in Ghor province, the Ministry of Water and Energy said in a statement today.
The dam will be built on the outskirts of Dolina district, to control floods, reduce associated risks, collect seasonal waters, and strengthen groundwater supplies.
Upon completion, the check dam will have the capacity to store 6,473 cubic meters of water, benefiting 500 families from this public utility project.
This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to implement development projects focused on water management in the country
