KABUL: A scholarly discussion on “Tensions in Pakistan-India Relations and Their Regional Impact” was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Center for Strategic Studies.
Zia Ahmad Takal, head of the ministry’s Press and Public Relations, cited the political head of the ministry, Mufti Noor Ahmad Noor, stating that the Kashmir issue and the closure of the Wagah border have deepened the crisis between the two countries and have had economic repercussions for Afghanistan.
He emphasized that the Islamic Emirate’s balanced policy ensures good relations with both countries, aiming for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
The meeting also discussed the legal aspects of water rights concerning the Indus River, stressing that preventing conflicts is essential for regional stability.
