KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, in response to India’s missile strikes on targets in Pakistani territory, has expressed its concern regarding the increasing tensions and confrontations between the two countries.
The ministry said in a statement today that the Islamic Emirate does not view the escalating situation between India and Pakistan as beneficial for the region.
The statement urged both Islamabad and New Delhi to exercise restraint and resolve their issues through dialogue and diplomatic understanding.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the Islamic Emirate considers security and stability to be in the interest of the entire region.
The Pakistani Ministry of Defense said that last night’s attacks by India resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians and injured 46 others.
