KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he will decide whether to refer to the Gulf as the “Persian Gulf” during his upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
According to Al Jazeera, Trump made the remarks yesterday while speaking to reporters at the White House, expressing his expectation that the host countries in the Middle East will discuss the name of the waters with him.
Since regaining office, this will be Trump’s first trip to the Middle East.
