KABUL: Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate, stated that currently, humanitarian aid is vital in Afghanistan.
In a message on the occasion of World Red Cross Day, Mullah Hassan Akhund emphasized that the people of Afghanistan, after enduring four decades of conflict and natural disasters, need humanitarian assistance more than ever.
He stressed the necessity of continuing to provide aid to the Afghan people.
“The Islamic Emirate is committed to providing facilities for the international humanitarian organizations operating in Afghanistan,” said the PM.
According to the global calendar, today, May 8, marks World Red Cross Day, honoring the efforts of millions of aid workers worldwide.
The Afghan Red Crescent Society also celebrated the humanitarian efforts during a ceremony today.
