JALALABAD: At least one person has been martyred and 32 others injured due to flash floods and storms in Nangarhar province, officials said.
Mawlavi Saifullah Khalid, director of the provincial Disaster Management, said that as a result of flash floods and storms, dozens of trees, communication antenna poles, solar panels, and several other items have been destroyed, one person has been martyred, and 32 others injured in Jalalabad city.
“The deceased and the injured have been transferred to the provincial Hospital, and among the injured, 28 have been discharged after treatment, while 4 others are still receiving medical care,” he said.
It should be noted that many roads in the city were closed due to yesterday’s rain and storm, but these problems have been addressed and resolved through the joint coordination and cooperation of the public and officials.
