Kim calls North Korea’s participation in Russia’s war justified

KABUL: Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, has recently defended and called justified the participation of his country’s soldiers in the Russia-Ukraine war.

North Korea’s involvement in the conflict is fair and within the framework of the country’s sovereign rights, Reuters reported, citing Korea’s state-owned TV today.  

“Our participation in the conflict was just, and it falls within the sovereign rights of our Republic,” Kim said, according to KCNA. “I consider all the brave soldiers who participated in the Kursk operation to be heroes and the highest representatives of the nation’s honor,” he added.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has also praised the presence of North Korean troops on the front lines, emphasizing their role in defending the homeland of the Russian people.
