Trump: India and Pakistan agree to a complete and immediate ceasefire
KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that the governments of India and Pakistan have reached an agreement for a complete and immediate ceasefire.
According to Reuters, Trump made the remarks today on his Truth Social media platform, expressing his satisfaction that India and Pakistan have exercised caution and agreed to the ceasefire.
He stated, “After a long night of negotiations mediated by the U.S., I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a complete and immediate ceasefire.” Trump congratulated both governments on this decision.
India and Pakistan have conducted the most intense airstrikes against each other in the past one week.
Reports indicate that these attacks have resulted in both financial damage and casualties among military personnel and civilians in both countries.
