Foreign Ministry: Attention will be paid to Zaher Qadir’s case

KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement today that diplomatic entities have been tasked with contacting Kenya regarding the case of Zaher Qadir.
According to the statement, Zaher Qadir’s son and a number of his family members, at the ministry’s official invitation, met with Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi.
During the meeting, they discussed the issues faced by Zaher Qadir.
The acting minister assured Qadir’s family that diplomatic efforts will be made to ensure his rights are protected.
The statement emphasized that Afghans, regardless of their situation, will not remain silent to the best of their ability.
It is worth mentioning that Zaher Qadir, a political figure from the previous administration, has recently been arrested and imprisoned in Kenya.
Two days ago, his court session was inconclusive, with a second hearing scheduled for this week.
