Azerbaijan can transport goods to regional countries via Afghanistan, minister

KABUL: The acting Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Mullah Hamidullah Akhundzada, met with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador, Elham Muhammadov, here in Kabul today.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the expansion of transport links between Afghanistan and Azerbaijan, the establishment of transit facilities, the significance of the Lapis Lazuli Corridor, and the transportation of goods through this route.
Akhundzada said that Azerbaijan can use the available opportunity to transport its commercial goods to regional countries through Afghanistan.
It should be noted that the Lapis Lazuli Corridor connects Afghanistan with Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey, serving as an important route for the transportation of goods to Europe.
