Foreign Ministry praises U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s recent statement

KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has praised the recent statement from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, calling it an accurate reflection of existing realities.

The statement noted significant positive changes in Afghanistan’s security and economic environment.

The Foreign Ministry emphasized that the recognition of achievements in security and economic sectors is a clear acknowledgment of the Islamic Emirate’s progress.

The Afghan government also welcomed the lifting of restrictions on Afghan residency as a short-term measure.

The statement highlighted the importance of bilateral mechanisms and consular services for its citizens, aiming to prevent complications, address national security concerns, and guarantee the dignity and rights of returning nationals.

Recently, Kabul-Washington relations have entered a new diplomatic phase.
