KABUL: The Acting Minister of Water and Energy, Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, during his visit to Tashkent, met with Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, his Uzbek counterpart, discussing the fortification of the Amu Darya River basin, the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed joint utilization of natural resources between the two countries and regional coordination, the statement said.
Both sides committed to facilitating cooperation between their technical teams in the field of water management.
It should be said that the acting energy and water minister and his accompanying delegation visited Uzbekistan to attend the Fifth International Energy Conference.
