KABUL: Construction work on 30 development projects valued at 47 million Afghanis has begun in Samangan province, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in a statement to Radio Omid today.
According to the statement, the projects will be implemented in the Khuram Sarbagh district of Samangan province.
The projects include the construction and graveling of 72 kilometers of road, building 2,231 meters of retaining walls, and the construction of six culverts.
With the completion of the projects, problems of the residents of the province in transportation infrastructure will be addressed and protect their assets from flooding risks, said the statement, adding that job opportunities will be provided for dozens of local residents.
This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to implement development projects aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens across the country.
