Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister to visit Kabul soon

KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate said in a statement today that Marat Nortlif, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, is set to visit Kabul soon.
During a recent phone conversation with Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, Nortlif emphasized the importance of increasing interactions between Kabul and Astana.
The two sides discussed strengthening relations, expanding trade, transit, and enhancing diplomatic ties.
Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi highlighted the significance of Afghanistan’s relationship with Kazakhstan and reiterated the commitment to expanding cooperation in various sectors.
Nortlif mentioned that Kazakhstan plans to invest $500 million in the Torghundi-Herat railway project in Afghanistan.
This comes at a time when political, economic, and trade relations between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan are expanding daily.
