Five MoUs signed between Afghanistan and Russia

KABUL: At the end of the Afghanistan-Russia Economic Forum, five Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed between officials of the two countries.

In a statement the office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs on Friday night said that the MoUs have been signed between the Ministries of Transport of Afghanistan and Russia, for the expansion of trade between the chambers of commerce of both countries, collaboration among several major Afghan and Russian companies in the fields of oil and gas exploration, extraction, and refining, as well as the establishment of a commercial, industrial, and logistical complex for regional trade.

The agreements were signed in the presence of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, and Alexey Overchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.

The agreements were signed during the inaugural Afghanistan-Russia Economic Forum, held as part of the 16th International Forum of Russia and the Islamic World in Kazan.
