KABUL: The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations has announced the commencement of the distribution of India’s humanitarian aids to 5,000 returning Afghan families in Kabul.
In a statement on Sunday night, the ministry confirmed that the aid includes eleven types of food items, which will be distributed transparently to eligible families returning to the country.
In a ceremony held on this occasion, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, the acting Minister of Refugees and Repatriations, in a message expressed gratitude for India’s assistance.
He called on all traders, philanthropists, and international organizations to support returning Afghan migrants.
“The Islamic Emirate has established 58 migrant settlements throughout the country, where shelter, schools, healthcare clinics, clean drinking water, and other essential facilities are expected to be provided,” the message further said.
Also, the process of registering and providing basic services, including the relocation of Afghan migrants from refugee camps to their permanent living areas, is currently underway by working committees of the High Commission for Addressing Refugee Issues.
