Meeting of Foreign Ministers of China, Afghanistan, and Pakistan; Mawlavi Amir Khan Mutaqi to visit Beijing tomorrow

KABUL: A trilateral meeting among the Foreign Ministers of Afghanistan, China, and Pakistan will be held in Beijing tomorrow.
The Pakistani Down news network reported today that Muhammad Ishaq Dar, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan, is traveling to Beijing, while Mawlavi Amir Khan Mutaqi, the acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, is scheduled to arrive in the Chinese capital tomorrow.
According to the report, Mr. Dar will be in China from May 19 to May 22.
Bilateral discussions between the foreign ministers of China and Pakistan are noted as part of the agenda for this visit.
The aim of the trilateral meeting among Afghanistan, China, and Pakistan is to discuss and consult on issues of mutual interest, including regional stability and cooperation.
Approximately ten days ago, a similar trilateral meeting took place in Kabul, attended by special representatives of Pakistan and China for Afghanistan, as well as their ambassadors residing in Kabul.
