KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the holding of a tripartite meeting of the foreign ministers of Afghanistan, China, and Pakistan in Beijing.
In a statement released today, the ministry reported that Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Wang Yi discussed the sixth round of dialogue among the foreign ministers of the three countries.
According to the statement, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of Afghanistan’s relations with China and Pakistan in political and economic sectors, expressing hope for future progress in these areas.
The foreign ministers of China and Pakistan reassured their commitment to the advancement of relations among the three countries based on good neighborliness and mutual respect.
At the conclusion of their meeting, the foreign ministers agreed to enhance trade, transit, and facilitate cooperation.
The foreign ministers of Afghanistan and Pakistan had traveled to China two days ago to participate in the meeting.
