Iranian investors keen to invest in Afghanistan’s mining sector

KABUL: Mulla Hedayatullah Badri, Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, visited Isfahan, Iran, where he met with the governor and representatives from the Mobarakeh Steel Company.

According to a statement from the ministry, during the meeting, discussions focused on strengthening joint cooperation in mineral resources and potential investments in Afghanistan’s mining sector.

The head of the steel processing plant expressed keen interest in investing in Afghanistan’s mineral resources.

Badri welcomed this interest and committed to collaboration in these areas.

It’s noteworthy that since the Islamic Emirate’s return to power, the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has been actively working to attract the attention of international and regional investors to Afghan mines.
